ELSAH, ILL. -- Principia College's Women's Cross Country team opened their 2014 campaign with a win on Principia's North Farm course. The women's race was won by Principia Senior Sarah Litwiller. Her time was 15:22. Next for Principia was Junior Shontee Pant. Her 16:55 was good for fourth place overall. Just nine seconds behind was Prin Junior Kyla Pelletier. Freshman Brittney Wright was next across the line in 17:39. Prin's 14th and 15th place finishes (Junior Hayley Scheck and Freshman Brie Burns) closed out the scoring Principia's next finishers were newcomer Junior Ariana Dale, and Seniors Lucy Weber and Abbie Steckler. The women's team score was 27 points, which just bested Illinois College's 29 points.
