South Bend, Ind. – Junior Alan Guzman (Berwyn, Ill./Morton College/Morton East) led the way for the Saint Xavier University men's cross country team taking 64th place overall in the very competitive field of 276 collegiate runners Friday afternoon at the National Catholic Invitational hosted by the University of Notre Dame (Ind.) at Burke Golf Course in South Bend, Ind.  Guzman clocked a solid time of 26:26.8 in the 8K (8,000 meters) race to pace the Cougars.  SXU finished sixth as a team with 240 points in the College Division, which boasted 23 non-NCAA Division I squads.
