Three student-athletes had competed for Concordia University Chicago at the national level in track and field before, but Chelsee Wilson was the first to make it as a freshman.

Concordia University Chicago student-athlete Chelsee Wilson (Shawneetown, IL/Grayslake North H.S.) is headed to the NCAA Division III Track & Field Nationals at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY.

Some members of the CUC men's and women's track and field teams competed at North Central College on Friday.

The CUC track and field teams had another type of finals on May 1-2 as they competed at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Outdoor Championships at Wisconsin Lutheran College.

Following the cancellation of the March 28 competition in Indiana, the April 4 Ted Haydon Invitational at the University of Chicago provided the first outdoor action this season for the Concordia-Chicago track and field team.

The CUC men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed in the NACC Indoor Championships in Kenosha, WI on Saturday.
