CHICAGO – After 10 seasons as the head coach of the Saint Xavier University men's cross country and track & field programs, Ed McAllister recently announced that he will retire from coaching.  He was hired as the SXU men's cross country coach in 2004 and assumed men's track & field duties as well when the University added the program in 2006.  McAllister also had a brief stint as the men's cross country coach for the original squad at SXU from 1976-77.  The SXU Athletics Department plans to begin the process for looking for his replacement immediately.
