[Women's Cross Country] Willging Sets Course Record; No. 23 SXU Takes Third at CCAC ChampionshipsPublished by
Bourbonnais, Ill. – Setting a new course record with a time of 18:03.84, sophomore Ellie Willging (Freeport, Ill./UIC/Freeport) beat the next fastest competitor by 34 seconds en route to leading the Saint Xavier University women's cross country team to a third place team finish at the 2015 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Cross Country Championships hosted by Olivet Nazarene University Saturday morning at Aspen Ridge Golf Course in Bourbonnais, Ill. In addition to Willging, the Cougars also had junior Nicole Maier (Burbank, Ill./Olivet Nazarene/Reavis) and sophomore Sierra Downey (Stickney, Ill./Morton College/Morton West) also finished among the top 15 individually, which earned the trio all-conference recognition.
