Men's Track and Field powers through Illinois College meetPublished by
JACKSONVILLE, ILL. Without a doubt, this was the culminating point for many of the track and field athletes to team up for one last regular season meet to showcase their speed, power and endurance. The men's track and field team shined on the track and the field with a school record-setting performance in the pole vault from Conrad Bollinger, out-jumping an accomplished field of vaulters, clearing 4.90 meters (16 feet, 1 inch). With much excitement, Bollinger made three attempts at the national-leading mark of 5.00 meters (16 feet, 5 inches) on his short approach. In the coming weeks, he will develop his medium approach for post-season action leading up to the national championships in Delaware, Ohio.
