Loyola University Chicago junior Alison Szykowny was named Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. The accounting/finance major continued her stellar success in the outdoor season this past weekend when she shattered two of her own school records in the discus (164-11) and hammer throw (169-09) at the Illinois Twilight in Champaign, Ill.
