[Men's Track & Field] Saint Xavier Men's Relay Teams Perform Well at National MeetPublished by
Geneva, Ohio - The Saint Xavier University men's indoor track team brought two of their finest relays to the 2012 NAIA National Championships in Geneva, Ohio, to compete over the weekend. The 4x800 meter relay team consisting of sophomore Shane Kenney (Porter, Ind./Chesterton), senior Daniel Hasty (Oak Lawn, Ill./Brother Rice), senior Brandon Hummer (Willowbrook, Ill./Hinsdale South) and sophomore Brian Corcoran (Chicago, Ill./Brother Rice) finished in 15th place nationally with a school record time of 7:50.76. Doubling back in just two hours, the Distance Medley Relay (DMR) team consisting of Corcoran, freshman John Stancato (Manhattan, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central), Kenney and senior Matt Rychel (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) finished 16th nationally in a time of 10:26.77.
