Hillsdale, Mich. – There was plenty to get excited about for the Saint Xavier University men's track & field team this week as the squad logged two national qualifiers, set four new school records and recorded five season-best times during the Lewis University Twilight Invite in Romeoville, Ill., Tuesday and the Hillsdale College Gina Relays in Hillsdale, Mich., on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Junior Abel Hernandez (Alsip, Ill./Shepard) and senior Janis Pastars (Ogre, Latvia/Cameron University/Latvia) both qualified for the 2016 NAIA Men's Track & Field National Championships at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium in Gulf Shores, Ala., on May 26-28.  Hernandez qualified in the 10,000 meter run, while Pastars qualified in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
