Greenville, Ill. - At the start of the meet, while conditions were dry, senior Lyssa Winslow went right to work in the very first event throwing the shot put to a near personal best in the first throws of the finals competition, landing in at 13.67 meters (44 feet, 10 inches) nearly 10 feet further than the next competitor. Geoff Hibbs returned to his primary event, the javelin throw. He was consistently throwing into the finals. He won the competition with a fianl mark of 52.80 meters (173 feet, 3 inches).
